Been offline all summer.... and since school started. Not a lot of time to devote to photography these days sadly. I'm singing in the ULeth opera workshop's staged scenes at the beginning of next month. Really fun quintet from Lakme (think the Flower duet... ok look it up on youtube) and as it has been recently discovered that I'm a soprano, I'm *blessed* with the upper Bb's (B Flats) in the number. For years I've felt like my generation has been apathetic to the rest of the world, to changing the world, to fighting for humanity. I looked back on the 60's and my mother's generation fighting for what they believed in with sit ins, hunger strikes, and other public protests against actions and events that they disagreed with, and felt as though my generation had dropped the ball, was riding on the work and the world created for us by our parents.
